We believe the Scriptures, Old and New Testaments, are divinely inspired and inerrant in their original writings. They serve as the supreme and Final authority in all matters of faith, doctrine, and practice, guiding us toward a life that honours God and reflects His truth (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Psalm 19:7).
We believe in one God, eternally self-existent, self-revealed “I AM” co-existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This divine unity is the foundation of all creation and the source of all life, as we worship and serve Him with Holy reverence and Righteous awe(Isaiah 45:21-25; Matthew 28:19).
We believe in the full deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His sacrificial death on the cross for the atonement of our sins, His bodily resurrection, and His ascension into heaven. In His life, death, and resurrection, weBind the fullness of salvation, and through Him alone is the way to eternal life (John 1:1-14; Matthew 28; 1 Peter 1:18-19).
We affirm that there is only one Saviour and only one gospel, although there is a wide diversity of evangelistic approaches. We recognize that everyone has some knowledge of God through his general revelation in nature. But we deny that this can save, for people suppress the truth by their unrighteousness. There is no other name by which we must be saved. All men and women are perishing because of sin, but God loves everyone, notwishing that any should perish but that all should repent. Yet those who reject Christ repudiate the joy of salvation and condemn themselves to eternal separation from God. To proclaim Jesus as ‘the Saviour of the world’ is not to affirm that all people are either automatically or ultimately saved, still less to affirm that all religions offer salvation in Christ. Rather it is to proclaim God’s love for a world of sinners and to invite everyone to respond to him as Saviour and Lord in the wholehearted personal commitment of repentance and faith. Jesus Christ has been exalted above every other name; we long for the day when every knee shall bow to him and every tongue shall confess him Lord. (Galatians1:6-9; Romans 1:18-32; l Timothy 2:5,6; Acts 4:12; John 3:16-19; 2 Peter 3:9; 2Thessalonians 1:7-9; John 4:42; Matthew 11:28; Ephesians 1:20,21; Philippians 2:9-11
We believe in the personhood and deity of the Holy Spirit, who indwells and empowers every believer, guiding us into all truth, sanctifying us, and enabling us to serve God faithfully in the power of His Spirit (John 14:17, 26; Acts 5:3-4).
We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred physical and spiritual death, which is separation from God. Genesis 1:27, 31, 2:7, 16-17,3:1-24; I Corinthians 15:21; Romans 6:23. We believe that all who receive the Lord JesusChrist by faith are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God. Allsuch are in-dwelt by the Holy Spirit, and baptized by Him into that spiritual body (theChurch) of which Jesus Christ is the Head. John 1:12- 13, 3:3-7, 14:16-17; I Corinthians 12:12-13; Colossians 1:18, 24. We believe in the eternal security of all who trust in our LordJesus Christ. John 3:16, 36, 10:28-29; Romans 8:35-39; II Timothy 1:12; Jude 1
The Kingdom of God includes both His General sovereignty over the universe and His particular kingship over men who willfully acknowledge Him as King. Particularly the Kingdom is the realm of salvation into which men enter by trustful, childlike commitmentto Jesus Christ. Christians ought to pray and to labor that the Kingdom may come and God’s will be done on earth. The full consumption of the Kingdom awaits the return of JesusChrist (Yeshua) and the end of this age. : Genesis 1:1: Isaiah 9:6-7: Jeremiah 23: 5-6;Mathew 3:2;4:8-10, 23; 12:25-28; 13:1-52;25:31-46;26:29; Mark 1:14-15; 9:1: Luke4:43;8:1; 9:2;12:31-32;17;20-21; 23:42; John 3:3; 18:36; Acts 1:6-7; 17:22-31; Romans5:17; 8:19; 1 Corinthians 15:24-28; Colosians 1:13; Hebrews 1110, 16; 12:28; 1 Peter2:4-10; 4:13; Revelations 1:6, 9; 5:10: 11:15;21-22
The Grace of God, which brings salvation, has appeared to all men, through the preaching ofrepentance toward God and through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; man is saved by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, and being justiBied by grace, has become heir of God according to the hope of eternal life (Titus 2:11; 3:5-7; Ro. 10:13-15;Luke 24:47)
The inward evidence to the believer of his/her salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit(Ro. 8:16). The outward evidence to all men is a life of holiness (1 Thessalonians 4:7, 2Tim.1:9).
All believers should ardently expect and earnestly seek the Promise of the Father, which is the baptism in the Holy Spirit. This baptism brings the inBilling of power for life and serviceand is accompanied by the bestowment of spiritual gifts, including but not limited towisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discernment, speaking in tongues, and interpretation of tongues (1 Cor. 12:4-11; Acts 2:4; Acts 10:44-46; Acts 19:6). These gifts operate in unity within the Body of Christ to edify, encourage, and equip believers forthe work of the ministry (1 Cor. 14:12; Eph. 4:11-13)
By the power of the Holy Spirit we strive to obey the command, "Be ye holy, for I am holy."SanctiBication is the will of God for all believers and should be earnestly pursued by walkingin obedience to God's Word (Heb. 12:14; 1 Pet. 1:15, 16; 1 Thess. 5:23, 24; 1 John 2:6)
Divinely called and Scripturally ordained ministry has been provided by our Lord for aBive-fold purpose: (1) Apostles – Sent ones who establish and strengthen the foundation of thechurch., (2) Prophets – Those who bring clarity, direction, and revelation of God’s will, (3)Evangelists – Preachers of the gospel who call people to salvation in Christ., (4) Pastors –Shepherds who nurture, care for, and oversee theBlock of God. (5) Teachers – Instructors who explain and apply the Word of God. The edification of the Body of Christ (Ephesians4:11).
All humans were made in the image of God and are worthy of love, respect, dignity, and compassion. But we believe marriage and sexual intimacy are good gifts from God and in keeping with Christian teaching through the ages and throughout the Church universal. We believe that marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union. We believe that God intends faithfulness in marriage and celibacy in singleness. God created marriage.(Genesis 2:22,24; Matthew 19:5-6; Ephesians 5:31; Leviticus 18:22; Leviticus20:13: Romans 1:24-32; 1 Corinthians 6:9)
We believe that the Ekklesia should live out the Great Commission given by Christ, which is found in Matthew 28:18-20. The Ekklesia represents the Kingdom of God and therefore should influence earthly governance
The resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation, together with those who are alive and remain unto the Lord, is 6:23; Titus 2:13; 1 Cor. 15:51,52).
We believe in (a) “that blessed hope” (rapture) and in (b) the personal and visible return ofour Lord Jesus Christ to the earth to establish His kingdom. (a) Rapture ̶ Titus 2:11-13; John14; I Thessalonians 4:13-18. (b) Return to earth – Psalm 24; Isaiah 9:6, 24:22-23; Zechariah14:4; Acts 1:10-11; Jude 14-15; Revelation 20.
The revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ from heaven, the salvation of national Israel, and the millennial reign of Christ on the earth are Scriptural promises and our hope (2 Thess. 1:7; Rev. 19:11-16; Ro. 11:25; Rev. 20:l-7)
The devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, and whosoever is not found written in the Lamb's Book of Life shall be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake which burns fire and brimstone, which is the second death (Rev. 19:20; 20:10-15).
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the saved and lost. The saved will appear in Heaven at the Judgment Seat of Christ to receive rewards and to dwell with Him for all eternity. The lost will be judged at the Great White Throne and cast into eternal hell. John 5:29; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Ephesians 2:8-9; 1 Corinthians 3:11, 15; Luke 16:19-31; Revelation20:11- 15
We, as promised in the Scriptures, look for a new heavens and a new earth wherein righteousness dwells (2 Pet. 3:13; Rev. 21: l)
We affirm that God is both the Creator and the Judge of all people. We therefore should share his concern for justice and reconciliation throughout human society and for the liberation of men and women from every kind of oppression. Because men and women aremade in the image of God, every person, regardless of race, religion, colour, culture, class, sex or age, has an intrinsic dignity because of which he or she should be respected and served, not exploited. Here too, we express penitence both for our neglect and for having sometimes regarded evangelism and social concern as mutually exclusive. Although reconciliation with other people is not reconciliation with God, nor is social action evangelism, nor is political liberation salvation, nevertheless, we affirm that evangelism and socio-political involvement are both part of our Christian duty. For both are necessary expressions of our doctrines of God and Man, our love for our neighbour and our obedience to Jesus Christ. (Acts 17:26,31; Genesis 18:25; Isaiah 1:17; Psalm 45:7; Genesis 1:26,27;James 3:9; Leviticus 19:18; Luke 6:27,35; James 2:14-26; John 3:3,5; Matthew 5:20; 6:33; 2Corinthians 3:18; James 2:20
We recognize that such a position on women in ministry is sometimes challenged based on certain Scripture passages (1 Tim 2:12, 1 Corinthians 13). However, We believe that all pertinent Scriptures need to be interpreted in the light of their immediate contexts, as well as in the context of Scripture as a whole. We believe that God has progressively revealed in the Scriptures his purpose to call, equip and empower women for full opportunity of ministry in the church. Galatians 3:28 states that in the Christian era “There is neither . . . male nor female.” Further to the cause of Christ, his death, burial, resurrection and ascension, He has positioned the church and gave gifts to his body, some Apostles, Prophets, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher. These offices are not gender based, as his confirmed in Romans 8: 14: The sons of God are led by the Spirit of God. It affirms a position in Christ. This is a general principle of Scripture. Any Scriptures that at first appear to contradict this general statement must be understood in light of the general principle of Galatians 3:28. Clearly the spiritual and heavenly identity proclaimed in Galatians 3:28 has precedence over the earthly, administrative identity. We also look to all the Old and New Testament examples of women pastoring and/or leading on every level.
Just to name a few:Miriam: Prophetess (Exodus 15:20) and leader (Micah 6:4)Deborah: Prophetess, Judge. National Leader (Judges)Huldah: Prophetess (2 Kings 22:14ff.; 2 Chron. 34:22ff.)Female Disciples (Mark 15:40-41; Luke 8:1-3)Mary Magdalene: Brought message of Jesus after resurrection (Mark 16, Matthew 28, Luke24. John 20)Phoebe: Deaconess in charge of spreading the letter of Romans to house churches (Romans16)Priscilla: Lead a house church along with her husband, Aquila. (Romans 16:3-4, Acts 18:26)
We believe that baptism is the immersion of a believer in water, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and the Holy Spirit, setting forth the essential facts of redemption – the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. Baptism also sets forth the essential facts in the experience of the believer – death to sin and resurrection to newness of life. We believe that the Lord’s Supper is a commemoration of the Lord’s death until He comes (Matthew 28:19)
The Lord's Supper, consisting of the elements, bread and fruit of the vine, is the symbolexpressing our sharing in a memorial to His suffering and death, and a prophecy of Hissecond coming, and is enjoined to all believers "until He comes" (John 6:48,51,53-57; Luke22:19,20; 2 Pet. 1:4; 1 Cor. 11:25)
